SOS-Kinderdorf-Zentrum
The SOS-Kinderdorf-Zentrum (KiDoZ) is a family-friendly meeting place in Bremen’s Neustadt district. Its beating heart is the homely family café. We run courses and events here, in group rooms and in our activity/creative space. In addition to the many services aimed primarily at families with children under 6, we also have a number of intergenerational offerings.
Our services
There’s always something happening at the KidoZ! We offer parent & child groups, exercise activities, early musical development programmes, picture-book cinemas, language courses, language cafés, presentations and much more. Our latest events calendar can be found on our website.
KiDoZ card
Whether it be purchases at the second-hand ‘Klamöttchen’ shop, activity fees or an afternoon cake snack, presenting your KiDoZ card will see you pay no more than a third of the normal price for anything sold at the centre.
Who is eligible for the KiDoZ card?
Anyone receiving benefits under SGB II (Vol. II of the German Social Code), SGB XII (Vol. XII of the German Social Code) or the Asylum Seekers Benefits Act is eligible for the KiDoZ card, as are trainees or BAföG-grant recipients with at least one child aged 6 or under.
How can I get the KiDoZ card?
We’re on hand to assist you at the KiDoZ office between 12 and 2 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Please bring your benefits assessment with you if you wish to apply for a KiDoZ card. You are also welcome to call us on 0421 59712-31 to book an appointment. Children aged up to 6 receive free lunch every day if a parent presents their KiDoZ card.
